Community Outreach

The Community Outreach committee combines our love of quilting with a generous heart for giving.  Our guild has been the recipient of many beautiful donated fabrics and pieced quilt tops and we are focused on turning those items into quilts to be given back to those in our community.

We currently donate to organizations to comfort nursing home patients and those in hospice care.  We also give quilts to be used for practical bedding purposes to a crisis housing center for teens, infant emergency pantry, and a shelter for families experiencing homelessness.

Members are encouraged to browse the Community Outreach table before the start of the monthly meeting to find something fun to take with them to work on at home.

Workshops are held after Guild meetings during the year to provide the opportunity to have some fun sewing with friends while working on Community Outreach projects. We also meet on the second Monday of each month and invite you to come join us at the Quilt a Bit Shop located at 2914 S. Jog Road in Lake Worth, FL between the hours of 3:00 and 7:00 pm.
